Headed to the Campground

I should be in bed right now but I just finished packing for our 2 day adventure to the campground that my In-Laws are Seasonal Campers at. Each summer we pack up the boys and my husband and I head to his parent's motorhome which is located in a nice, quaint campground in southern NJ.

Lots of swimming, bike riding, crafting and eating to be done. Can't wait to roast those marshmallows!! I know I'll have lots of pictures to share with you when we return from our little family vacation.

With A, ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in first ch. Place marker in first st for beg of rnd; move marker up as each rnd is completed.
Rnd 2: Work 2 sc in each st around – 12 sts at end of row.
Rnd 3: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st, rep from * around – 18 sts.
Rnd 4: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 2 sts, rep from * around – 24 sts.
Rnd 5: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 3 sts, rep from * around – 30 sts.
Rnd 6: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 4 sts, rep from * around – 36 sts.

Blue Reverse Pattern Pocketbook

All of the items used to create this lovely pocketbook are recycled. I have a box of assorted vintage fabrics that were taken out of sample books and given to me by my Grandmother. The lining is made with a recycled sheet I purchased from my local Goodwill as is the yarn and the button is from my Grandmother too.

I decided to use "reverse patterns" for this bag the fabric is a sturdy, durable cotton. Flower pattern in an antique white on a slate blue background, the other side is of course, the reverse.

The lining is 100% cotton in antique white. The bag measures 10" x 10" and has a 32" crocheted strap done in a multi cream cotton yarn (overall hang length from shoulder is approx 25"). The button matches the blue perfectly with a simple crocheted loop for a nice closure.

Machine wash, lay flat to dry.

Clothespin Bag Crocheted with Plastic Grocery Bags

This bag is made of Plarn. I have cut up several blue and white plastic grocery bags and turned them into "yarn" a great way to recycle. It measures 14" x 13", comes with a 10" pants hanger for easy hanging on the line and the opening of the bag is approximately 5" x 5" for easy grabbing of the pins.

I first discovered this pattern last Spring and had to make one for myself....I love it! Very durable and weather resistant my bag looks the same as it did the day I made it. I'm in southern NJ and we've had a lot of snow but the bag has prevailed!

Another thing I'd like to point out is that this is not a "tight" crochet so air will be able to flow drying your pins after a summer shower.
